How C4B contributes to LEED, BREEAM, DGNB and VERDE

Which parts of the four major green building certifications the C4B platform supports today, module by module, and a detailed guide for each scheme on what C4B delivers and what the team completes to earn the credit.

What the symbols mean

C4B never earns a credit on its own. It contributes the analysis, the design direction or the data behind a criterion; the team completes the evidence and the assessor awards the credit.

  • (+)
Can contribute towards points or creditsThe module delivers some or all of the analysis or evidence the criterion is scored on.
  • →
Provides design directionThe module shapes the design decision; the credit is earned once the team develops the design in detail and documents it.
  • •
Provides the data basisThe module supplies some or all of the underlying data; the team interprets it and produces the evidence required to claim the point.
  • –
No contributionNothing in this scheme that the module speaks to.

Contribution by module

The strongest contribution each live module makes to each scheme. A module marked (+) also informs the design; one marked → also supplies data. Modules marked coming soon are not live yet; their row shows what they will contribute. Select a scheme for the criteria and credits behind each symbol.

Schemes and versions covered

  • LEED v4.1 Building Design and Construction, U.S. Green Building Council
  • BREEAM International New Construction v7.1, BRE
  • DGNB System New Construction, version 2023, German Sustainable Building Council
  • VERDE Edificios 2030, Green Building Council España (GBCe)

Modules that are not live on the platform yet are marked coming soon. Every credit is earned by the design team and confirmed by the assessor; C4B contributes the analysis, direction or data behind it.
